As usual, proceedings of the Symposium are going to be published as a special issue of Acta Physica Polonica B dedicated to Professor Peter Talkner on the occasion of his 60th birthday. Everybody is encouraged to contribute, but the invited talks are particularly welcome. Please, visit the publishers' website for instructions to authors. Everybody is welcome to contribute, but all contributions will go through the regular editorial process, inculding peer review.

Please, send your submissions to the address of the Organizers zfs@th.if.uj.edu.pl. Your submission should be in the LaTeX (or plain TeX) format, figures in Encapsulated PostScript. A pdf file of the whole ms should also be a part of your submission. We are sorry but we will not be able to handle other formats, including Word.

In addition, please send simultaneously by e-mail a pdf file of your whole ms to the three guest editors: Ewa Gudowska-Nowak, Peter Hanggi and Jerzy Luczka.

The submission deadline is January 2, 2006.
