The Marian Smoluchowski Symposium on Statistical Physics has a long
tradition of attracting top-quality lecturers from all over the world.
The main idea of the Symposium is to give physicists working on statistical
physics an insight into new trends and results, not only in their own area but also
in natural sciences (chemistry, biology and medicine) as well as in economy and
finances.
Additionally, after the Symposium, Silesian University of Technology organize
Workshop on Biophysics of Cancer and Ionic Transport Processes, which will take place
on September 7-9, 2005. Participation is limited.
