Abstract

Epistemological obstacles are useful tools for didactic research on the formation of new physical physical concepts and understanding physical models and theories.

They are useful in identifying difficulties in understanding expressions, mathematical formulae and equations as well in problem solving. Knowledge of epistemological obstacles can help in avoiding educational mistakes such as eg. in performing class experiments and demonstrations.

And what is most important, knowledge of epostemological obstacles help to construct good curricula.

Keywords
