We investigate the a0\rightarrow \pi 0\eta decay in the framework of QCD sum rules. We estimate the coupling constant ga0\pi \eta which plays an essential role in the analysis of physical processes involving a0(980) meson. We also estimate the coupling constant ga0\pi \eta by using the experimental limits of the decay width of the a0\rightarrow \pi 0\eta decay and compare with our QCD sum rule result.
