We present recent results of heavy-ion experiments performed by the FOPI collaboration at the SIS accelerator in Darmstadt. The studied observables, such as the isotopic ratios, the flow of nuclear fragments and their rapidity density distributions, provide necessary information to judge about the dynamics of heavy-ion reactions at intermediate energies. Comparison of the measured yields of strange- and anti-strange particles allows to conclude about the production of normally not measured \Sigma⁺ and \Sigma^- hyperons.
