The coupling constants g\rho \eta \gamma and g\omega \eta \gamma are calculated using QCD sum rules method by studying the three point {\rho \eta \gamma } and {\omega \eta \gamma } correlation functions. A comparison of the results with the values of the coupling constants that are deduced from the experimentally measured decay widths of \rho \rightarrow \eta \gamma and \omega \rightarrow \eta \gamma decays is performed.
