Longitudinal sound velocity has been measured for organic superconductors \kappa -(ET)2Cu[N(CN)2]Br as a function of temperature. We measured the velocity of the sound propagating along both parallel and perpendicular to the two-dimensional conduction plane. The sound velocity of both directions shows a remarkable anisotropic behavior below TM, in addition to the anomaly at TM = 37 K associated with Insulator-to-Metal crossover.
