Using the spectrometer arrays Gammasphere and Euroball a detailed spectroscopy of superdeformed 193Pb and 196Pb has been performed. In 193Pb nine superdeformed bands are now known and their quasiparticle assignments are discussed. In 196Pb evidence for an octupole vibrational excitation is presented.
