Acta Physica Polonica B is an abstracted, refereed journal published by the Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland, in cooperation with the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Since 1999 all current and past articles are freely available on an Open Access basis and under the conditions
of Creative Common License, CC-BY 4.0. Starting from January 1, 2014 we are partially funded by SCOAP3.
To prevent plagiarism we use the Crossref Similarity Check service.

February 2025 • updated policy of APP B
We have introduced new regulations according to SCOAP3 requirements regarding Open Science Elements. This includes Practices & Values, Bibliometric Information and additional treatment of ORCID identifiers.
November 2024 • SCOAP3 agreement
On November 11, 2024, Jagiellonian University, the publisher of Acta Physica Polonica B and CERN signed the fourth amendment to the SCOAP3 agreement until the end of 2027, with the possibility of a further extension until December 2029. Under the SCOAP3 consortium, Acta Physica Polonica B receives financial support for articles in the fields of high energy physics and fundamental interactions. These open access articles are available on the web pages of our journal and on the SCOAP3 website.
May 2023 • old papers of APP
We have collected all issues of Acta Physica Polonica published since 1920 until 1969. We hope that the availability of these archival volumes will be of interest to our readers and researchers of the history of physics.
March 2022 • announcement concerning Russian invasion on Ukraine
In protest against the invasion of Russia (with the support of Belarus) on an independent and sovereign territory and the people of Ukraine, on March 1, 2022 Poland suspended scientific collaboration with the Russian Federation. Following the decision of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University, which suspends cooperation with Russian universities and research centers, Acta Physica Polonica B stops publishing articles by authors with affiliation to institutions from the Russian Federation and also from the Republic of Belarus.
